Bake a difference

Brand Identity, Brand Development, Animation, Digital, Print, Collateral, Apparel

Bake a difference (formerly known as Sussex Bake Down) is a community interest group made up of home bakers and other volunteers who bake and deliver treats to local food banks. Their ambition is to give every community in the UK the tools to establish its own branch of Bake a Difference and support food support organisations in their area. I was brought in to create an identity that felt inclusive, driven by community and encapsulated the care that went into every single bake.

The brand mark resembles a heart shaped cookie cutter. It’s simple in form but represents a lot of the key values of Bake a Difference.

Inclusivity - anyone can use one.

Caring - reflected in the shape of the cutter.

Community - with a baking cutter you can create an endless amount of beautifully shaped treats.

All of these elements combined, link back to the ambition of the brand too - “giving every community in the UK the tools to establish its own branch of Bake a Difference and support food support organisations in their area”.
