'Nature bottled' in a new labelled bottle (self-initiated)

“Nature bottled” - Inspired by both the tagline at Hildon's and my own experiences in nature, I created this bespoke label to reflect the brand - ‘as crisp as the country air’.
There’s always an element of spontaneity when sketching outside - marks made in the moment, trying to capture what’s in front of you. And this personal project draws from those quick studies and instinctive scribbles.
The only challenge with personal projects like this is the lack of a feedback loop between yourself and a client. While I can create work that I believe fits, I don’t have the insider perspective of someone who truly knows the brand. With that said, I’ve admired Rob Clarke‘s work (Type Designer) for a long time now and spotted that he worked on the logo refresh. Hoping to refine my concept with a bit more guidance and real-world experience with the brand, I reached out to Rob. He generously responded with valuable notes - hence the second version.
The benefit of collaboration and having someone view your work with fresh pair of eyes is absolutely priceless! And I believe this second iteration is even stronger as a result
